Wonderworld roling rainbowOct 28, 2011
By Mabacon This is a HORRIBLE toy for a little one. First the pegs that roll are just a little bigger than a quarter, which makes them a chocking hazard. Also all the plaforms come out of this toy. My 1 yr old would bump it or reach for it and the whole thing would fall apart. I'm sure this would be a great toy for an older child (3yrs) to watch them roll down and work on fine motor skills, but not for the 18m+ recommended age.

My son's occupational therapist uses the rolling ball (plastic) version of this toy often in sessions with him and I wanted to have one in the house. After reading the reviews of that toy and how kids pull it apart and it is difficult to get back together I choose this one instead. Now I think that without supervision neither of them is great. The moment my son gets frustrated with this (if one of the pieces doesn't roll down correctly or gets stuck)he will push at it to make it work and because it is very lightweight it falls over, all the pieces come out and there is now way he can put it back together on his own!
Fun when it works or if I am sitting there with him, but not the "play on your own" toy I was hoping for!

We got this toy for our little 18-month-old but all of our kids enjoy it. It is simple, all parts come apart easily so the kid can play not only with the toy itself, but also take it apart and put the structure together to see how it works. We like its wooden structure too, getting tired with the plastic world of toys offered these days. Perfect gift idea.
