Great, but way too smallOct 11, 2010
By caseyjacie We really like the kitchen--it is made well, easy to assemble, and super cute. It has the phone, which our kids totally loves. HOWEVER...it is tiny. My daughter got this on her third birthday, and she is already taller than the refrigerator (and she's not especially tall). It's a micro kitchen, so we're a little disappointed. We were hoping this was a toy that would go the distance, but I can't see a five year old playing in a dwarfed little kitchen. If they made this 30% bigger it would be great, especially since then all the toys made to go with play kitchens (like Melissa and Doug cookie sheets that don't fit in our tiny oven) would fit.

Awesome Kitchen!Jan 08, 2011
By Tortoise Lover Pros: Small enough to be completely functional for my 18 month old. Looks great in the dining room where we keep it. It is Extremely cute! The color is a very nice red, and it looks really nice. My son plays in his kitchen while I do dishes or cook, instead of hanging onto me. The stove knobs click when you turn them, all of the doors open well, lots of storage space and shelving. The faucet rotates, the hot and cold water handles turn (or can be used like soap dispensers which my son does). It isn't a crazy colored plastic behemoth like other kitchens, which mattered to me. My son's imagination soars while playing with this.
Cons: None. I seriously love it and anyone that sees it wants it for their child instead of what they got.
Accessories I Got: Melissa and Doug wooden pot and pan set (the red one): Look as if they came with the kitchen. The oven mitt and utensils that come with it are very nice too. A great deal and a great buy that fits in perfectly. Melissa and Doug cutting fruit crate: It doesn't come with a cutting board, but my son likes trying to cut the fruit. sometimes he succeeds! Melissa and Doug food groups: Are you kidding me with these low prices!? Very nice set, lots of wooden play food. We love them and my son pretend cooks them. Did I mention I love it? Melissa and Doug magnetic kitchen bottle collection: The BEST! A lot of fun, my son loves them a lot. He likes to match the color tops, pretend to cook with them, and rearrange them in his cupboards.
I plan on getting some soft toy veggies later on too. I love this product and the accessories I got to go with it. This kitchen is the best, especially for younger toddlers! My son plays with it everyday and has a blast.

Fantastic Toy!Jan 08, 2011
By Katherine M. Lloyd My 2 year old loves this play kitchen! My friends 4 year olds love this play kitchen! What a great toy!
It took a solid 2.5 hours (without eggnog!) on Christmas eve to put together. The instructions are very clear and very well thought out. If you read them and follow them to the letter the construction is flawless. Don't skip ahead, just follow along.
With some melissa and doug play food and kitchen ware, there are hours and hours of fun here in a toy that's so good looking I don't mind having it in my living room. AND it doesn't make noise!

Extensive ReviewNov 11, 2011
By April Kellywright PACKAGING: Very well flat packed with extra care/foam wrap on the windowed portions. All but one of the hinges were already assembled. The nuts, screws, locks and bolts were well labeled and organized on a cardboard & bubble package. There were two tiny spots on the oven "rack"(shelf) that had been scratched, but were easily touched up with a dab of silver paint.
BUILD TIME: 1 Mommy, 2 hours and a ratchet screwdriver with interchangeable bits. There are a lot of pieces here, but I found the instructions were well illustrated and the pre-drilled holes lined up properly. I'm glad I did not wait until Christmas Eve to put this together.
DIMENSIONS: As other have mentioned this is a smaller kitchen. For us that was a good thing, but some may want a larger one. Overall Measurements 36 H x 33 W x 11 D - So about as tall as a regular adult desk. Fridge has a middle separator shelf -top cubby is approx. 8 H x 8.5 W x 10 D -bottom cubby 8.5 H x 8.5 W x 10 D cabinet under fridge 11.5 H x 8.5 W x 10 D under sink cabinet w/ door 6 H x 8.5 W x 10 D open under sink cubby 4.5 H x 8.5 W x 10 D open shelf above the stove 4.5 H x 4.5 D x 8.5 W (at back)the front curves to the right, aprox 4.5 W at front
WHAT I ADDED:
Dishes 70 pieces set: Learning Resources Kitchen Set The pots, kettle etc are the perfect size for the stove burners and the rest of the pieces fit great. Others mentioned how small the cups and plates were in that set and I agree 100%, but for the price you get so many great pieces so I would still recommend it for this kitchen.
Smart Snacks Counting Cookies - jar looks great on top of the fridge, but is slightly too tall for the open top curved shelf. Learning Resources - Smart Snacks Animal Crack-Ups - will fit in the counting cookies jar. They come with a thick cardboard box, but I suspect that will be annihilated by my toddler Smart Snacks Rainbow Color Cones - The scoops fit great in the ice cream dishes Smart Snacks Sorting Shapes Cupcakes - the muffin pans fits in the stove perfectly
Melissa & Doug: Pizza Party - The pizza and pan fit in the oven, but the wooden crate it comes in is slightly too large Playtime Fruits and Playtime Veggies- realistic size. The "crates" they come in are cardboard and are slightly too large for this kitchen Food Groups - they come in 4 wooden crates, which should hold the fruits and veggies from the other sets and fit right in the fridge
Hide and Squeak Eggs
Command Small Wire Hooks - I added 6 of these to hang over the stove top for utensils (see pics)
Small 3 drawer organizer - holds all the cookie cutters, utensils etc from the 70 piece dish set (see pics)

Very impressedOct 31, 2010

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3KSY7K5DX0VHA I got this kitchen for about $85 including shipping on [...] for my 19-month-old son. I had been looking for a kitchen for a while, and my friend (who hand-makes high-quality kids furniture) recommended this same brand, although it is made in China. (His daughter has the version with the refrigerator.)
I was a bit daunted when the box arrived with 30 parts to assemble, but the instructions were clear and each part was even labeled! I put it together by myself in under 2 hours and didn't make any mistakes. Everything was included except a philips-head screwdriver. I even had time to tweak the tightness of the faucets.
My son played with it for the first time this morning and of course he loved it. I put some water in the plastic sink basin and he was in heaven. It also helps that I also got some related toys to go with it:

I'm very, very pleased with the kitchen so far. We haven't had it long enough to speak to durability, but it seems well-made (for being made in China).
