If you buy this set be prepared to devote a lot of space to it. From the pictures here I had NO idea just how LARGE this set was. Great play value for a child alone or with a friend. Sturdy and not too hard to put together. GREAT DETAILING on the ships.

We purchased this product from the Gold Box in October for a Christmas Gift for my friend and his daughter and boy we're they surprised! The daughter and father's eyes we're so big when they saw what treasure awaited for them underneath the Christmas wrapping.
This particular Pirates of the Carbbean Mega set is incredible as it has many of the characters from the movies as well as good size pirate ships. As soon as they opened the box they put together the ships, cannons, and other accesories very quickly, but it took awhile as these ships are pretty big!
I highly recommend this product, it will be a super delight to a child or big kid at heart for any occasion!

What a deal... we looked high and low for this item for my 10 year old son for Christmas, it was all he wanted. The price was great considering you got both ships, each on separately was almost $[...]. Lots of pieces but he put them together himself and they are still together after hours of play. He does have them set up on a table in his room but they have withstood the rough playing of several boys together. We loved it!

I had ordered this back in October when it was a gold box special. When the box arrived it was much larger than i was expecting but nicely packaged. I gave it to my 5 year old son for christmas and was the one package he wanted to get out right away.
Mega Blocks are similar to Legos and i was very pleased by the quality of the product and easy to read and understand instructions. All the blocks fit together as designed and no issues upon building the ships. I decided to glue the ships together as construction time was over an hour and i wanted to make sure that my son and his friends did not take apart the boats in 5 minutes, lol...
The ships come with the primary characters for the Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman and two moveable cannons that shoot small cannon balls. I would recommend this set to people with children 5 and over due to the small parts that can be put in the mouth. Also be aware that it will take some time to build the ships but we had fun in the process. Overall i rate this 5 stars especially to those scally waggs and bilge rat pirates and lovers of the Pirates of the Caribbean series....

Got this for my girls for Christmas ages (5 and 9) and the LOVE it! It's big, not hard to put together either.
I think this is a great value for the toy. The detail is AMAZING! I would recommend using crazy glue when putting this together (it will save you time from reaffixing something that may fall off during play).
Overall a great toy with ability for imaginative play with friends and family! If your kids liked the movie they will LOVE this toy!!
