Stirfry Delight!Jan 05, 2011
By Serendipity This stirfry set is another great addition to the Melissa & Doug wooden play food line. I run a home daycare for kids ages 2 - 6. The set is very durable and after 3 months of rugged play, none of the paint is chipping or showing signs of wear. The kids enjoy "stirring" around the different pieces of vegetables, beef and shrimp in the wok as well as chopping them up. The set is very colorful and visually appealing. I like the idea that they are making healthy food instead of pretending to make hotdogs and such. I also purchased the shiskabob grill set, which is similar. I initially thought the kids would play more with the grill set...but they don't really know what shiskobobs are yet. They enjoy playing with the stirfry set more because of the "wok" (skillet) component where they can stir and add food pieces while cooking. If I could only purchase one of these sets, I'd choose the stirfry set because the kids are playing more with it more than the grill. But, both sets are great!

so cuteJun 03, 2009
By Katharine R. Scanio we got this for my son the chef and he loves it!!! he loves chopping the food apart and it has provided hours of endless fun! Also he has learned about things like bokchoy and amazes people when he says bokchoy at 19 months! The only complaint is the wok is very heavy (watch your toes) and the wok paint has also chipped away in many places. but i would still buy it again despite these complaints.

Sturdy and funApr 04, 2010
By Mom at work This is an awesome fake food toy. Durable, lovely and realistic. More interactive than most fake food toys...you can chop, cook and then eat with chop sticks...fun! Daughter LOVES it.

Cute but missing some piecesJun 17, 2011
By Hsueh Chun Lo My 2.5 years old daughter loves this set. It is durable and even the wok is "extremely heavy", she enjoys play with it. My only complain is the "cuttable" part of the set are meat, vegetable and brown noodles. (not sure what it is exactly). I need to purchase another set so she has more pieces to "cut".
By the way, the set I got has two pieces of shrimp, mushroom and pea. In the pic, it shows three each. Not sure it is only my set or the pic is miss leading.

Melissa and Doug Stir Fry set is awesome!Feb 26, 2009

I ordered this set along with a few others for my girls. I wanted to get my girls away from toys that make all kinds of noise and want these toys to last forever. The love making stir fry and "eating" with the chop sticks. We lived in Okinawa Japan for 3 years, so it was exciting for them to have chopsticks of their own! Very nice set, good size, and the Wok is ADORABLE!!!
