Puzzles - Great! Box... not so muchJan 01, 2011

I'm a fan of Melissa & Doug and these puzzles do not disappoint. The pieces aren't a snug fit, which is perfect for a toddler. My son is enjoying them quite a bit. The storage box that they came in, however, fell apart as soon as we removed the plastic packaging. It wasn't a huge problem, we just glued it back together with wood glue and clamps, but I was disappointed that it was broken as it was opened because I chose this particular set because it had a storage box.

The storage box that the puzzles go in was busted when I opened it. 2 of the side fell off and now the puzzles can't be stored. The puzzle pieces themselves are very small...a lot smaller than I expected them to be. Overall the whole thing is cheaply made.

My 3 year old is really into puzzles right now, so they was just perfect for him. I really like the shapes, colors and numbers puzzles, but the barn/animals puzzle was just okay. Some of the pieces on the barn puzzle seem too close to each other in shape, which can be confusing for a younger child.

My 2 y/o received this set of puzzles for Christmas. Now that we are in February, this is one of only 3 presents she received that she returns to day after day! Very well-made and age appropriate!

This 4 Pack is a good value and it is really nice to have the storage case. One of the pegs has already come out of a puzzle piece. That is my only complaint!
