Great accessory, but a few drawbacksOct 26, 2010
By Jennifer A. Hendrickson My son loves his Cozy Coupe! He cherishes it so much that it has to stay inside, my almost-two-year-old doesn't want to get it dirty. He was always opening and closing the gas cap, so we thought we would spoil him even more and get him the Cozy Pumper. It is so much fun for him. It is so fun to watch his interaction as well. He loves the buttons that make noise. He loves that he can put the gas pump in the tank. We even gave him an old card of some sort, so he likes to slide it through the credit slot.
The drawbacks are small, but they are significant enough to mention. The toy itself is light plastic. It falls over, he can lift it in the air. Our remedy: Behind the buttons is a void. We used that to our advantage and created a hole large enough to get a funnel through. We got a 50 lb bag (you don't have to use the whole bag) and filled the bottom of the pumper so that it is a little more weighted. Once it was full we covered the hole with a piece of tape. The panel that holds the buttons was a little wabbley. My husband fixed this problem with a few shims under the panel.
Bottom-line: we a few modifications this can be the perfect toy. Don't expect it to be exactly what you thought it would be. Now we fixed it up a little it is a great addition

too light, falls overNov 15, 2010
By Cdn Shopper My son was very excited about this toy as he really wanted a gas pump for his cozy coupe. But the pump base is really light so it falls over every time you move the pump hose (there is no option to fill the base with sand or anything to weigh it down). The buttons make noise but on ours the button that is suppose to make the gas pumping noise sometimes makes the horn noise which is the sound for the button below. I thought the list price was great but I ordered it from Canada, so the shipping and international charges made the final bill more than double the list price, so in the end it was totally not worth the money. But my son doesn't have any other gas pump and still plays with it even though it sadly drags along the ground everytime he fills up!

Not impressedMay 24, 2011
By Sara C. Pashak I was pretty disappointed when this item arrived. I was so excited to see my little guy play with it as he LOVES his John Deere tractor and his Little Tikes car and I knew he'd love gassing them up. And he did have fun with it, but it's SO small and tippy and the sounds, while cute, are very quiet! Ugh! My husband is going to figure out a way to put sand in it so it's more solid and that should help, but it's not up to what I expect Little Tikes standards to be. Bummer.

Very disappointingJan 02, 2011
By M. James I knew what was coming when I read the reviews, but I thought it wouldn't be as bad as they said. I was wrong. It indeed is too lightweight and falls over whenever a child (or adult) tries to use any part of it. The gas handle part is really hard to remove from its hole, and really hard to put back in and make it stay. The button sounds are too quiet to hear, and they are very hard to push. The credit card slot is foolish since it does not come with a toy credit card. I had to give my son an old health insurance card just so he could use that feature. Seems like they could have made the handle squeezable like a real gas pump, and have it make noise when you squeeze - the separate fueling button (which sounds nothing like really fueling a car) makes a half-second blip of a noise and is disconnected from the real action. Please, Little Tikes, discard this item and completely redesign it!
