Grandson Loves itSep 24, 2009
By M. Hornish I got this for my grandson to play with when he comes over and he loves it! I got this along with a couple of the other sets and some plates, bowls, utensils. He is three and will play a long time with this food. He sometimes puts it in his mouth, which I wish he wouldn't do, but that's kids for you. I always am hopeful there's nothing toxic on the coating and I've washed these by hand. None of the color has come off yet. The carrots from one of the sets are quite small and could be a choking hazard for younger kids. These foods are very durable and look like they could last a long, long time!!

Lots of benefits...Sep 27, 2009

My daughter has lots of play food, but this is by far the best. It gets her accustomed to associating fruits & vegetables with meals & snacks and making healthy food & drink choices more of a norm. The spaghetti is her favorite, since the sauce with meatballs is seperate from the pile of spaghetti, so she can "fix" it herself. She also even has fun with the basket it all comes in when she plays grocery store (selecting fruits and vegetables, of course). Kids loose interest in their toys so quickly, but this is one she consistently plays with over and over again. I also highly recommend the breakfast and lunch sets, too. The quality in these toys far exceeds that of her other play food, making it really stand out from the rest. Two big thumbs up!

Worth the money!Jan 07, 2008

I thought the price was high for play food until comparing it to other "cheaper" food. I realized that the quality is actually much higher and indeed worth the money. I like that the play food models healthy foods- fight obesity and teach kids to develop nutritious eating habits- and that it is so incredibly durable made from vinyl material guaranteed to last where other play foods are from cheap plastic and could probably easily be destructed... depending on the kid...I definitely recommend it! Oh and it looks incredibly realistic, when my daughter saw it she bit into a carrot and looked confused until I told her it was for playing and not eating- so much for telling her not to play with her food!!

Great sets!Oct 28, 2009

I was at Costco last week and my boys saw the pack of three healthy food baskets for $19.99 total. They LOVED them, so I got one pack for them and one pack for my niece (hers is for Christmas). The boys have been playing with the sets non stop. And I didn't realize what a great deal I got until I checked here. So, if you are in the market for this playfood this holiday season, go to Costco. It's well worth the money.

Love This Brand!Nov 04, 2011
By Mary Newell I recently purchased a pretend kitchen for my 21 month old and needed to find some food for her to play with. I scoured the internet looking for quality pretend food. Although I could easily find over 100 pcs for $25, I chose this (and a few other) set(s) because of their realism and durability. I was not disappointed! These are a bit more pricey so I wasn't able to get all of the sets, but I purchased a lunch and a healthy dinner set from Learning Resources to go along with a breakfast set that includes a toaster. The baskets are really sturdy and one can hold all of her 3 sets of food. I can't think of a problem with these, but the pieces are bigger than the play kitchen I purchased. It doesn't matter at this stage, but I wish I had purchased these first and then figured out which kitchen set I worked best.
