Many agesOct 10, 2010
By JKK Our kids range in age from 5-10 and they are all able to play this. Our 5 year can read so that is probably why they are all able to play this together. Otherwise, I think the lowest age range would be 7. We like this game mainly because it focuses on a weak area for 2 of our boys - language & reading comprehension. One of our children has autism and struggles with testing. This game mimics standardized testing which was a big plus for me. Our kids all play this like a fun game while I treat it like homework in disguise. Clever.

Review from a TeacherNov 24, 2010
By Marilyn I am a fourth grade teacher. Teaching students how to use context clues to enhance reading comprehension has always been a challenge. This game is fun, a good price, and the students really enjoy it. It is set up for four students. I think I will purchase one more so at least eight students can enjoy it at a time. This is a good activity for students to do when they have completed their work and the teacher still needs to work with the rest of the class. Right now, I am not sure about the durability of the game because I haven't had it for very long.

Very Pleased with this fun and brain using game!Dec 20, 2011
By Mom of four little lambs When looking at games to purchase, we prefer ones that stimulate the brain & are preferably fun...not just mindless play. After playing this with my 4-11 years old I think this is a winner! At first I was a little concerned on the "fun" factor, the educational elements are obvious from the beginning, but it was not until we got the first "hint" that I saw how fun it is! I am the parent and on the first hint, I was not successful in answering, but my 10 year old was! The point of the game is to understand words in context using the provided sentence (the word to be understood is in bold) and there are three choices. This is good for most children to improve their word usage and understanding. Then in addition to that, there are the hints cards...they works your thinking skills also! And to be noted....the game box and presentation (there is a mini-brief case you hide your hints in)is very well done. Much nicer than expected for the price paid.

A games where students pretend they are detectives to solve a clue. The students must read their clues and correct mistakes. A bit of fun while students learn also.
Homeschool mother...May 09, 2012
By B. Branton I purchased this game for my 8 year old son. If I had more children perhaps this would have been better enjoyed. My husband, son, and I played this once. Game play was around 5 mins. I ended up selling it at a garage sale. It would be better suited to a larger group or a center for school. But all in all it was a nice game.
