Roll up keyboardDec 01, 2011
By Rhonda Wittmer I use the keyboard to practice songs I am learning. It works for giving me pitches. The photo shows someone playing with both hands on the keyboard. I find it impossible to play a 3 note chord on this equipment. My recommendation is to use a real keyboard if you have it.

Just a toy... or better... a joke!Feb 23, 2012

This roll-up "piano" can be found on Amazon and elsewhere - with hardly any modifications - under different brand names and prices, but they are all the same cheap item. Don't call it, or expect to get, a piano... it is a cheap toy, best suited for a fun party to get a good laugh for a short while. It plays off key, sounds like a tin bucket, and feels phony. It's like pressing down some weird rubber or cardboard skin... terrible! It is not even good for kids, because they will learn nothing a piano teacher would welcome, on this thing. No real touch, no true sound, no real feel. In short, everything one would expect from a toy of a few buck's cost! When learning to play the piano, proper key size and response is crucial, since we learn by "body-motor-memory" as much as with our eyes and brain. I can assure anyone that even practicing on a good electronic keyboard, but with slightly narrower keys, and with lighter resistance on the keys, creates a challenge when following it up with performance on a real piano. So imagine the damage it does to a kid to start out on this flimsy excuse of a joke! And for anyone who is proficient at playing the piano, they would not possibly want to have this for a replacement, even when traveling! It just does not give a pianist any satisfaction... I think it is really an insult to any decent pianist to insinuate they would want to lay hands on this! It took me 3 minutes to be utterly disappointed with this, pack it back into the box it came in, and return it for a refund. Don't waste your time, if you want a practice piano!

Not for practice, just for funMar 31, 2011

My 4 & 6 yr olds boys are taking keyboard lessons so I thought this would be ideal since we travel a lot, they can practice anywhere. You really have to press hard on the keys and like the previous reviewer, it's a bit strange. Might be okay for older kids or adults but not for small hands. The Virtuoso APP on the IPad is much better.

Okay for little kids at bestFeb 29, 2012

Bought this device and found it very disappointing. Kids would have more fun than the serious piano student. You have to be very heavy-handed to get anything out of this, perfect for a toddler, I suppose. As already noted, a light touch will get you double notes or nothing at all. Frustrating for anyone with any experience on a real keyboard or piano.
If you have NO experience with piano, or are a complete novice with little experience, then this might work well enough for you.
I returned it within a week, as I didn't want it to just collect dust in a closet. Luckily, I received a full refund. The seller is still good, even if the product is not.

Seriously, if you buy 4, then sew them together, you've just made yourself an awesome window shade. Someone try to make a shower curtain!
