Niece's First LoveMay 22, 2007

I purchased this for my niece's first birthday recently. I do not have the advantage of living nearby, but according to my sister-in-law my niece fell in love immediately with this doll and is perfect for her to carry even as she is still getting the hang of walking. My sister-in-law also loves that she can just throw the doll in the washer after a rough day of drooling on and being dragged through the house.
What a great doll and I am so happy that my niece will have it to treasure for a very long time. I may even buy her one more just in case she loses this one.

I bought this doll for a 6 month old and am very happy with the quality! It's very bright and soft! Two other people in my office after seeing it when it was delivered, wanted to buy one for little ones they know! I hope it becomes available again because this is just a little delight and I'm so excited to give it to my friends daughter for her first doll!

This doll has been become an additional member of our family in the three and a half years that my daughter's had it. We have lots of dolls but this is far and away the most loved. My daughter doesn't go to bed without it, and it goes everywhere with her throughout the day too. For a while after we got it nobody had any more for sell anywhere (and I looked hard) and I was so worried we might lose ours. It is so loved! It is beautiful, so snuggly, a great small size, and very washable. I don't know how many times I've throw it in the washing machine, but it's a lot. (I think machine washability should be a requirement for baby and toddler doll and stuffed animals, but it's surprising how many are surface-wash only. Don't manufacturers know kids are going to spit up, pee, and/or throw up on their cuddly toys?)
I've given this doll (and the pink one like it, though I prefer the bright red) as a gift several times, and had lots of other moms asked me where I got. When my son was born I knew I had to find him a similar doll: cuddly, machine-washable, preferably with a vinyl face, only male. After TONS of looking I found one by this company (that they unfortunately don't make anymore) on ebay. It's slightly bigger and in blue overalls, and it is also well-loved in our family.
As I said, we have lots of dolls (too many dolls). This the best baby doll we have. Better than the more expensive (but still wonderful and beautiful and washable) rag dolls by Corolle or Haba or any other company I know. My kids really seem to be drawn to the vinyl face. I'm not sure why. Around age one, I often saw them rubbing the face with their fingers or rubbing the face against their own face. They never did this with the cloth-faced ones. And the small size makes it easy for babies to carry and great scale-wise for toddlers to baby. I wouldn't change anything about this doll. It's perfect.

We gave this doll to our daughter for her first birthday. She has loved it for over three years! It was the perfect size for a little one to carry around with her, a sweet lovee with a sweet scent. I've just had to order a replacement. In three years of heavy use, she got a little dirty, but never had any seams rip, pieces fall off, or parts come loose. A wonderful doll.
