 Pretty doll, but hair not durableAug 16, 2011

I bought 2 of these dolls for my 3- and 6-year-old girls, Dolly Toffee Apple and Dolly Violet . I love Corolle dolls, but these are disappointing. Within 20 minutes of playing with them, the hair fuzzed up into a big tangled rat nest... we have 2 other Corolle dolls, the Mon Premier ones, that are over 2 years old and they still look like-new, hair and all. Even our much-abused $8 Barbies have hair that survives in better condition than the Les Trendies! One of our Les Trendies also has sewn-on clothes, which is a big let-down as my girls LOVE to switch their dolls' clothes out, sometimes hourly. I took out two stitches on the dress to take it off the doll, but the hole for the neck is so small that it won't fit up over the doll's head or down over her cloth body. For the price, I don't think I can recommend these. Choose a different Corolle doll, as they seem to be better made.

We bought the Corolle Les Dollies Dolly Toffee Apple Doll for our granddaughter and she just simply loves her! This is a very cute doll with her bright candy apple red hair. She's soft and has a slight vanilla scent. She's easy to hug and carry around and very easy to love. I would recommend this darling doll for any little girl!

I loved everything about this doll my only wish is that the hair would have stayed so silky and smooth. This doll has a cute face and really great clothes; but it didn't take very long for the hair to turn from silky to matted.

It looks OK, but hard to play with since the head way too heavy for the rest of the body. Looks good, smells good, but not all that playable.

Love these dolls. Nice to see a super fun sweet doll in my girls collection that isn't dressed in pink/blue and just boring and dull.
Reason it doesn't get 5 stars? the hair!! Its beautiful when they arrive but it is impossible to stop it from turning into messy dreadlocks!! So disappointing! I tried so hard to keep the hair nice, but it just wasn't happening.
Would it stop me from buying more? no
Does my girl even care? no - I'm the OCD one
But it is just kind of annoying. If only they could get the hair right...
