Absolutely love the Calico Critters line...my kids had something very similar when they were young now my granddaughter has them and loves the little house and the furniture! However.. the age recommendation for these items should be heeded and adhered to..I even think a 3 year old should be supervised due to the fact that the accessories that come with these furniture sets are MINISCULE and are a huge temptation for little ones to pop one in their mouths. My daughter kept the little pieces and just gave my granddaughter the furniture to play with until she is older! Unless you have the time to sit and supervise your kids with this item and the others like it, I would suggest withholding the tiny accessories!!

this is too cute! I love the little mobile and all the accessories. I think Calico critters makes a great product. I just wish it was less money.

As other reviewers have stated about any of these sets, my daughters play with them for hours. They love them! However, I really think some of the extra super-tiny pieces are unnecessary for young children. I've only had one of these sets for a few months and already some of the pieces are missing. At first, I supervised their play, but I don't have time to do that often. As soon as the supervision ceased, pieces ended up missing or scattered. I was sort of frustrated about that because I spent money on this. And if your child wants other furniture sets, it gets to be a small fortune! My eldest daughter has the Elephant family and the twins and has kept all the pieces intact. However, she's seven. With my youngest, I have to come right behind her with Ziploc bags to gather the very tiny pieces. Five or older is a more appropriate age for these kinds of toys. I even think the Calico Critters and all their pieces is perfect for a collector, someone who is not a child.

My daughter is 4 and loves the calico critters.
I got her this nursery set for christmas and she has been playing with it constantly. Organizing it and putting her babies in the seat and the bed.
Calico Critter items are expensive, but well worth it. Made very well, and very detailed. All the little pieces move, drawers all open, etc.
Love it.

We have several Calico Critter animals, furniture, and homes. They are great! They might be a bit more expensive, but they last through years of play! All your children, nieces & nephews, grand children, and all of their friends will love to play with them too! They are very popular in our home, and I'd recommend them to everyone!
